How do you explain your tail to children?
I tell kids that I am a real mermaid who lives in the nearest ocean, (unless a parent or guardian requests otherwise). When children touch my tail and say that they can feel my legs or feet, I tell them that mermaids have bones similar to humans.
Where did you buy your tail?
My original fabric tail is from The 2 Tails and my newest tail is from FinFolk Productions!

What happens if a child sees you without your tail?
I explain that, as a mermaid, I possess some magical powers and so I am able to grow legs when I need them. (When the water gets too cold and icy in the winter, I live on land and attend human college!)
